The Goat Breeds who produce Kashmiri Wool are called as Kashmiri Goats. The name is Kashmiri because these goats were first found in Kashmir. Kashmiri is also spelled as Cashmere. Today the Cashmere goats are found in Kashmir, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Mongolia, Tibet, India, Nepal, Australia, Iran, Turkey etc. An adult Kashmiri goat can produce up to 1.5 kg of Cashmere wool per year.
