The Norwegian Red Cows originated from Norway. They are red cows with white stripes found throughout Europe and America. Bulls of this dual purpose breed weigh around 900 kg while cows 600 kg. A cow gives around 18 liters of milk per day. These cattle perform well in difficult climates. By standard definition the Norwegian Red cattle cannot be considered as a breed. It is just a process of developing a superior breed by crossbreeding.
