The Alpine Goat
The Alpine Goats are famous for their milk. They originated from France. Their milk production rate is higher than any other breed except the Saanen and Toggenburg goats. Their milk contains lowest amount of butterfat than any other milk found in this world. But their milk has higher nutritious value than the Saanen milk. An Alpine doe becomes mature within 6 months and can produce up to 8 liters of milk per day. An adult buck weights from 70 to 80 kg and the doe 60 to 70 kg. A female can give birth up to 3 babies a year. Alpines are found in various colors and they are good at adapting into any climate. So it is better to farm Alpine in hot zones rather than Saanen or Toggenburg.
