The Jamunapari Goat
The Jamunapari Goat Breed originated from Indian Subcontinent thus are found in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. They are named after the Jamuna rivers of India and Bangladesh. Most of the Jamnapari goats are found in various color combinations of white and brown. These goats are tall, possess long ears like the Nubians and some of them are Parrot faced because of the shape of their high nose. These goats are used for both Meat and Milk. A buck weights up to 130 kg and doe 100 kg thus produce a good ammount of meat. The doe first conceives at 1.5 years of age and can give up to 4 babies a year. It can produce up to 3 liters of milk a day as well. The Jamunaparis can adapt in any climate.
