The Oberhasli Goat


The Oberhasli Goats are excellent breed of goats derived from Switzerland. Like Saanens, Toggenburgs and Alpines these goats are also heavy milk producers. Most of these goats are brown in color but also found in black. An adult female goat of this breed can produce up to 7 liters of milk per day which has low butterfat. Oberhasli bucks weight from 65 to 75 kg and females 55 to 65 kg. A doe of this breed can produce up to three children a year. Like Alpines Oberhaslis are also good in hot weather. People call this breed as Swiss Alpine.
